Excellent job

It was a good learning experience for me, also a good learning curve to that experience especially when it comes to working with community. Very employee had an opportunity to be there trained for their jobs and other job opportunities in the company.

Maryna Nel employment at Aurum

I am working in a Research company after working in the Banking industry for years. I like to have a stable job and enjoy administrative work because of my past employment. I my current career training is from utmost importance. We have to operate as a team and work towards reaching our deadlines. I enjoy it the most when my work is up to date and my workstation neat. The most challenging aspect of my job is when somebody is on leave and we have to manage with a double work load.

Pros: I am not working weekends.
Cons: There is little opportunity for promotion in my current company.

Aurum is conducting studies to Chronic Diseases around Africa especially most populated areas e.g. Prison and Mining area and they are not working on profit rather.

I enjoy my work at Aurum institute

I am health screener team leader basically I monitor the work done by the health screeners as well i am a health screener. My relationship with my people is just beautiful, we fight as every team does but at the end we all have a common goal and we have an understanding. I have learnt that my opinion is not always right and also to be a team player means not outshining others. Doing field work and the challenges along the way. Having to find a household with no parent, food or anyother day to day needs and on top of that their is a person on treatment, it just breaks my heart.

Pros: Great experience clinical and social
Cons: The weather is not always good but under the sun at the end you achieve the goal

A very enthusiastic and passionate young proffesional

I really love and enjoy working for my current employer but it is unfortunate that we are now facing retrenchment due to funding but I am grateful for the opportunity they gave me. I have learnt to be more confident and the success that came with it, I believe I will be a great leader and be able to transfer the skills learned to the new work place.

Pros: Having different cases with every patient was what kept me on my toes and I enjoyed the challenges that comes with it
Cons: Working on weekends and public holidays means less time spent with family
