I started doing my saica articles with PKF incorp welkom for 2 years preparing clients financial statements and preparing tax returns. i finished my articles with Auditor general auditing clients financial statements Im currently working as an audit supervisor at the same company. My responsibility is to coach and monitor trainees as well ad reviewing and compiling reports at the end of each project.i also review if the client has complied with the relevent laws and regulations/accounting standards. i have a BAcc degree and are currently studying with ACCA and only left with 1 subject to complete my qualifications. im a hard worker and enjoy challenges

Great team work and communication skills.
I work in an environment that allows me to meet with different people from different levels. I manage audit trainees on a day to day basis and help them archive their competancies through continuous coaching and monitoring. I review the policies and relevant legislation that need to be adhered to by municipalities,municipal entities as well as government departments and entities. I issue findings and recommendations for any deviations found. I also audit the entities financial statements and annual reports,where I compile a management report and present it to management. My job allows me to work on different components of different entities and I love that, I am not limited in what I do. The most challenging part of my job is that, because we audit Government,we travel to rural areas a lot and working conditions are not always favorable.

Exclent learning curve
Mr Cyril has more than seven year of experience as an external auditor and an accountant employed by Auditor General South Africa (AGSA) and Grant Thortnon. He audited various public sector institutions (municipalities, government departments and public entities), and he was involved in different types of audits, such as financial audit, audit of performance information and compliance with laws, rules and regulations audits.His involvement in the big audits have significantly contributed in him being a ‘guru’ in preparation and reviewing Annual Financial Statements.

Being a trusted business advisor
•I work as an HR business partner and am responsible for project work across a range of disciplines I am always away from my desk and get out into the workplace to get to know the operational functions of the business and stakeholders / clients. Just being seen in work areas helps me to build rapport and respect within teams, gain valuable information about business performance and employee feedback. I never approach a situation unprepared, under resourced or undervalued. I am limitedly •I usually start the day by checking my calendar, responding to or prioritising emails to follow up on outstanding actions, and prepare for upcoming work and respective meetings. I touch base with the broader HR team and key clients to get a ‘sense check’ of workloads, schedules and priorities to reduce any risk of conflicts and mitigate any challenges as soon as possible.

Excellent learning environment
In my current position with the Auditor General of South Africa I work in the capacity of audit assignments pertaining to provincial and local spheres of government which provides me with the ability to work under pressure and ensure deadlines adherence.
