My experience

I have learned a lot of things in mechanical engineering industry. I have got experience in hydraulic pumps, motors, pneumatic systems, bearings, different types of valves and their applications.

To ensure effectiveness of all machinery to reduce downtime

It's very challenges especially faulty findings, with drawings. We as co-workers we understand and help each others. I started at production side as Operator at bagging and filling plant, I learned more and now am at maintenance side still learning. Still enjoying but am looking for more experience in my career. Faulty findings.

Pros: Like to see my self one day as plant Manager, At the mean time I like to get more experience especially on the maintenance side. Then I will be fid and ready for promotion.
Cons: I do work overtime one or three days in a month. Depending plant Operating.

Learning..

i enjoy working in my company good relationship with co-workers and my boss, my company is a good company we live like family...i love everything about ash resources...need a change of environment live been working for the same position for a long time now i need to learn new things and to earn better

Very skilled workforce

My company that I work for is being ruled by Lafarge Holcim. One of the largest cement manufacturers. We supply fly ash to them. Daily we have morning meetings and toolbox talks. The employees and contractors is a very close family. In my company I'be learnt to deal with different cultures and work groups. The most challenging in my day to day job is to keep the workers focused on the job and to ensure everyone work safe. However each one of us has a family wait at home for us. I love my work and to share my expertise with all.

Pros: Good opertunity to develop oneself. Maintain H&S audit skills
Cons: Travel between sites. Job security.

The company is promoting a culture of learning

The company is like a family everybody work as a team and communication is key. The work is planned accordingly on daily basis and everybody is co-operative and tolerant to each other Safety and quality job is a key to a succeful company at Ash Resources we pride ourself of the safety record that we have achieved over the years

It's a hugh plant and I can handle it pressure yes it's there.

Ash Resources lethabo power station it's a good company, too much work but it's enjoyable and pressure is too high especial for us millwright. I am a hard working person fast learner ambitious with and still willing to learn

Excellent learning curve

I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the Vaal University of Technology with B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering. I have gained precision measurement skills, use of mechanical and hand tools, fitting and physical assembly, basic alignment and fault finding throughout my experience in the mechanical industry.

Opportunities for Growth

At Ash Resources we work as a team, in terms of work relationship with co-workers we have a good working relationship and sharing ideas where possible and safety of the employees and contractors is a number one priority to the company.There is lot of opportunities for growth in the company and management is doing everything to promote culture of learning within the company.

Pros: Oprtunities for growth are available if you are dedicated and working hard.
