I’ve learned a lot

It’s great maintaining all the panels motors and pumbs there switch gears and all thats there with my electrician artisans because now i have learned fault finding and installation and all i needed to learn.

Pros: No opportunity to become an artisan there
Cons: We work long ours

I love being able to work with my hands & my head in a safe invironment.

I love boilermaking, I like to weld and I like the tough challenges day to day. When work is slow its tough making a living with a family. Thats the only complaint i have. The best part of my job is meeting new people and learning more about them. I like the challenge the each new job brings.A typical day at work is always something new. I have learn to weld while working for the Boilermakers.My co-workers are trustworthy. The hardest part of my job is being layed off.The most enjoyable part of my job is meeting new people and going to new locations

Pros: i love to hard work. i know that that sounds strange. but those who work hard, sleep well.
Cons: being away from my children working 10 to 14 hour days, 7 days a week.

Multiple discipline project execution & plant commissioning

Working with other discipline engineers to execute a project related to plant commissioning taking into account safety, environmental & equipment risks. Challenging aspects are related to time constraints that can be managed by executing other tasks in parallel to ensure that the critical path is well managed & sometimes expediting options for personnel to work within 24hours by splitting the teams into 2 or 3 to adapt

Pros: Opportunity to grow in a different environment
Cons: Potential family dynamics

Learning curves

Construct, assemble, maintain, and repair stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries. Align structures or plate sections to assemble boiler frame tanks or vats, following blueprints. Work involves use of hand and power tools, plumb bobs, levels, wedges, dogs, or turnbuckles. Assist in testing assembled vessels. Direct cleaning of boilers and boiler furnaces. Inspect and repair boiler fittings, such as safety valves, regulators, automatic-control mechanisms, water columns, and auxiliary machines.

Pros: i love to hard work. i know that that sounds strange. but those who work hard, sleep well.
Cons: dirty job
