Assisting Patients
As a Phlebotomist we collect blood and non blood samples from patients for pathology testing. Our duties are to also data capture, take payments as well as telephonic duties such as attending to queries from Doctors or the hospital.
Pros: attending to client needs and achieving customer satisfaction. Building good rapport with customers.
Cons: Exposure to pathogens.

Next level opportunity
A typical work day would be me arriving at 6AM although only starting my shift at 7 to ensure that my tasks for the day are prioritized and manageable. I have an open door policy with my staff and strive to create a cohesive working environment. I have learnt that different people have to be dealt with according to their personality type and emotional intelligence. I enjoy managing my staff as this ensures a better satisfaction when reaching our targets and corrective action when we do not which is the beauty of management, finding ways of managing situations to make things right and empowering staff. The most challenging aspects are integrated the different types of personalities in achieving the common goal.

Good Communicater
I worked at Ampath Trust as a Personal Assistant at 2013 whilst I was still studying to gain experience . I was monitoring and responding to managers Email,Preparing correspondence on the managers behalf, ordering stationery and office equipments,Typing and filling documents and Attending meetings , I had a good and positive relationship with my colleagues and the rest of the stuff, I learned a lot at Ampath Trust to be a hard worker , working independently and be helpful to those who need help, I really enjoyed working with older people eg manager and supervisor because of the motivation I got, It was very kind challenging to work work with who take advantage because of being a part time Student, they don't listen and answer in a wrong way but at the same time I dindt gave up being strong keeps me going

I had a great learning experience and needed to grow where I best fitted
We got busy and quite days depending on the number of patients needed attention. You had to remain calm at all times for the benefit of the company and satisfactory of the patient (client). I had a good working relationship with my colleagues, we got on well and always advising and teaching each to develop one another where the is a gap. I leaned quite a lot while i was working at Ampath in Newcastle, besides the skills that I had I came with. Customer care service was one of the major highlight of the career service i acquired from there. Teamwork, patience, good practitioner and skills development. The most challenging part of the work was always trying to make clients calm and understand the need to perform certain test.

Need to change the career hence i'm studying office admistration.
The task is to collect and deliver specimen to the Laboratory and deliver Doctors result to their consulting's rooms. The relationship is very good and we work as the Team. Working as a team is very important and you can achieve what is expected from the employee with a potential team. The most enjoyable task is delivering of the patient results to the Doctors. The most challenging of the job I don't have any challenges I do have lot of experience working with clients so I don't have any more challenges and because I did attend customer training and cultural diversity, so I understand how to deal and solve some challenges.
Pros: Need a new challenge.
Cons: Working hours that we agree with company and overtime.

Excellent learning curve
I have attained invaluable experience in a medical microbiology laboratory. I have an enquiring mind and am fast paced, I set standards and deliver. I have a keen interest in microbiology and I would like to bridge the gap to learn and grow in industrial, agricultural, clinical microbiology. The most challenging part of my job is to be consistent with routine procedures. I have maintained a moto of doing it right the first time, all the time. With carrying this out in my daily function I have been successful in delivering and adding to the company's vision of being the first choice in diagnostics. I have had the joy of imparting my skill onto junior techs in order to get them competent and able to work independently.
