Every day feels like day one. Being mutable and flexible to any position I have obtained the skills for with my 2-3 years of service. The word I would best describe my self to my current job is the word " Servitude" to serve as a link between new age corporate measures of proving exceptional service to my internal and external associates. I thrive under pressure and provide factual evidence to expand the success of the process improvement and developmental areas to sustain any business. Having my current 9-5 and juggling an executive personal assistant role has been the most challenging job I ever had in my life. Seeing the heights of my potential under pressure proving my self awareness skills and humility in dealing with an international data-base has been yet the most accomplishing feeling yet. Bringing my experience into your company in furthering my career is my start to yet another successful journey.

My company is exceptionally customer-centric.

At Amazon development center, there is a strong sense of growth, opportunity and goal attainment. The company strives to equip individuals with a diverse skill set that can be used across multiple industries. We are goal driven and strive to produce results. At Amazon there is a culture of customer satisfaction, centered around the customer experience. There is a strong team environment where we rely on our peers as our resources in order to get the job done to the best of our abilities. Whilst we take ownership of our own work and development path, it benefits us tremendously when we have a network of competent and welcoming colleagues. Perhaps the most challenging aspect of my job is finding a solution for any problem. It requires alot of out or the box thinking as well as fresh eyes with every issue. It also requires a strong and vast knowledge base in order to make use of the multiple layers of the business to ultimately provide our customer with the best experience.

Great company, I learnt alot.

Amazon is a great conpany. Loads of potential to grow. Great salary and bebefits. Only downside are the shifts that you have to work. But either than that its a great company to work for.

Pros: Opportunity for growth, grreat salary package with benenfits, great colleagues all round
Cons: You work shifts, no incentive structure anymore

Excellent opportunities

A typical day at work is handling customers accounts and any issues they receive on their account. I usually assist agents that are not meeting targets with coaching to improve their stats and I have done training to up skill agents to take on more skills. Working with my co-workers are really pleasant and it is a tight unit. I have learnt in Amazon to manage and develop agents and provide training on material provided by the company. I enjoy managing the under performing agents to show them their capabilities and bring our their potential to the fullest.

Excellent learning curve

Was nice working there but worked long hours practically had no life. Working environment was great. Great team to work with. Nice managers but not the last one I had, was hard to work with and had no sympathy for the staff and was unapproachable.

Pros: Great opportunity for promotion

Amazin learning curve

1. Get to work at 05:45 in the morning to start at 07:00. 2. Log in and open all tabs to access chat and e-mails 3. Have 2x 15 minute breaks and a one hour lunch. 4. Handle e-mails and chats asking where's my stuff or dealing with returns and refunds. 5. End the day at 16:00 where I then travel home but a great advantage is the company gives us transport from home to work in the morning at 05:00.

Pros: brilliant opportunity to study and grow within the company.
Cons: Not very challenging

Great environment. Very positive and fast learning. Amazon is a place for fast growth and movement.

Amazon taught me a lot about leadership skills and how to take ownership. The environment is so positive and full of live energy. Everyone is friendly and comfortable around each other. Amazon leans a lot towards personal growth so it has been a positive experience to see what you are capable of. It teaches you also a lot about the diverse cultures and traditions of others. The mos challenging thing about the job is the shifts it requires you to work. Other than that, it's an amazing space!

Doing customer care, queries, refunds, replacements etc.

Doing customer care, queries, refunds, parcel tracking, giving discounts on special promotions (Black Fridays) upgrading accounts, credit card queries, shipment queries and the like.

Pros: Medical aid, pension/ provident funds
Cons: Shifts ans long hours besides no weekends ofg

Excellent company to work for

Started as a csa and very quickly got exposed to various departments in the North American market. This included Training (cross training UK to NA), starting new departments and exposure to coaching, process improvement and then moved to a Team Leader role. Getting comprehensive knowledge of how different departments work together aids in a total understanding of the business.

Pros: Great Career advancement
Cons: 24/7 environment

Great working place

Amazon is a great working place. Wonderful vibe and work ethics Anyone would enjoy themselves. Its a true great working place. Easy to make friends. Management easy to access and eager to help.
