Not paying on time

make sure everyone knows whats needs to be done for the day. Give clarity on when you need to finish. Make sure there is enough material on site to continue. Make a plan with any problem that comes up. The best way i found to deal with co-workers is to tell the truth otherwise they will come to you and blame you for not getting payed for work done. Payment is not on a definite day. Payment will be received greatly for the first few months after that the stories begins but you help out. Eventually when you cant take it anymore without pay you stop and they substitute you for the next best subcontractor. I believe the subcontractors is building the company out of their pocket. Company wants everything done asap. not paying suppliers or subcontractors eventually

Pros: No boss looking over your shoulder the whole time
Cons: Have to try to motivate workers without getting payed

Does not pay on time

Great company at first, with great exposure to networking with high level clients and bank representatives. Company is great until payments or cashflow issues arises. Company also refuses to pay taxes which is illegal. CEO does not communicate well and has had outbursts of anger breaking furniture/phones and electronics. Also a very high staff turnover and a lot of CCMA cases. Overall it remains a construction company and does have its ups and downs, but there are more downs than ups unfortunately.

Pros: Great exposure to industry
Cons: Long hours, late and short payments to both staff and suppliers/contractors
