Enjoying what you do

A typical working day would entail large contract reviews, treasury (review of existing contracts and aligning new sales contracts with tenors). Reviewing and signing off on certain journals. Meeting with segment managers reviewing WIP, attending to requests from head office. Attending to commercial aspects regarding finance needs of customers, internal controls. Constant interaction with co-workers. Leading by example and ensuring that energy levels are tangible, encouraging the status quo to be challenged in a respectful manner. Learning is critical in order to stay at the forefront of latest initiatives launched by Central Office. For me, the approach to CRM of my company provided me with better insights to customer needs and what to really focus on. The establishment of the Angolan workshop was a exciting opportunity that I thoroughly enjoyed. Challenging aspects of the job would be ERP systems and the on-going need to documents procedures.
