It was great working with this company due to the culture of the people .

Working for Afriscan is really great , the people are very sociable and easy to get along with. although very pressurized my day is very easy. i have 2 buyers under my supervision and i am responsible for the tendering for the company. in the civil industry no 2 contracts are alike and this is a great learning experience. as you know the civil industry is very dynamic. my job is very challenging and very time critical. i don't see challenges only solutions with respect to my work.in a typical day with no disturbances or side tracks , i am able to price a 100ml tender as i have set up my ccs library to cater for this. it is sad that the industry is quiet and due to the company down sizing , i have been retrenched and am available to commence work on 1 May 2019

Good learning and good work experience

I 'm working as a senior foreman

I know how to monitor a team and I am a hard worker who is able to work extra time. I finished my tasks in time with my team. I can even motivate my team to punctual every time. I have leant how to lead with an example . To be leader doesn't mean that you are a boss commution with your team is very important . Challenges that i faced with is when the is no enough materials while the is a due date of my task.

I 'm working as a senior foreman

I'm a hard worker who is working is also will to work an extra time . I know how to communicate with my team. I always finish my tasks in time with my team. I can able to work through challenges. I know how to monitor my team. I always communicate with my team so that we can work well. Being a leader does not mean that you are a boss. To be good leader you have to lead with by an example. I am always punctual that why I finished my tasks in time with my team. Teamwork is my thing. Communition with your team is very important.

Perfect for working experience

- I am a site Quantity Surveyor. - I have a good relationship with my coworkers. - I enjoy taking off quantities from drawings. - I also prepare payment certificate for sub contractors. - I also do pricing of provisional items. - I order materials - I plan every day works. - control worksmanship. - Attend site meetings. - measure work done on site vs Bill of Quantities. - understanding health and safety. - understanding JBCC contracts.

It was a great experience

The company was great in all aspects working for Afriscan Contruction was a great pleasure because every individual was given equal opportunities to grow and to gain much more experience and skills for the future.Team work was our strength as co-wokers that ended up being a valuable assert to our performance of excellence for the company. My journey in the company I learnt that hard work pays and my most challenging aspects was deadlines but with my dedication and determination I was able to hold on and win at what I do.
