First experience in the private sector after working in the Public sector for 12 years

Experience the way business is done in the Private sector. Was a challenge to be responsable for the Master Data in the Procument function. The learing to be effective and efficent and to be able to cope with the demand from my internal custumers. To know that when I have a task that was done it has positive effect on my organisation. To be open to learn new aspects of procumenent and accounts payable. Challenging aspect is to be able to compleate a task that have some obstacles and to know that your internal client is pleased.

New Challenges

A typical work day for me is trying to resolve customer queries with logistics and accounts departments and taking calls to place orders. My day starts of very early with ensuring that the previous days loads have been executed in a satisfactory way to the customer, as well as actioning an emailed or faxed order or quote requests. I work in an open plan office and get along quiet well with all of my co-workers. Learning something new is an everyday task, but I have learned that patience is an attitude as not everything will go your way all the time. I enjoy the interaction with customer and internal sales reps all the time, helping with problems and getting it solved. I also love getting thru my tasks timeously. Currently the most challenging aspect is the logistics get to a customer on time, and having to resolve what went wrong and explaining to the customer in a calm manner when the logistics lets a customer down.

Great learning curve..challenging

Challenging with all the different aspects of the job and department as a whole. Wide variety..great learning curve Dealing with different issues at the same time. You tend to learn much more as generalist. Enjoy working on community projects and to give back in some way. Working with people from different backgrounds can be challenging but I enjoy it. To know that as a team in a small department one can rely on each other. I enjoy working in a team as well as individually.

To be given propper working tools

to add value to internal custimers to keep market share even if we are in a very capital intencive industry. we ajust to what the custumers need from our products and our RD is very active to see to the demand. We have a good CSR department and we are also very attentive to look after the natrule resorces that we use -ISO 14000.

Very small industie

Due to our type of market industrie, it is very competative, it means that all shoud be done in the best manner to make sure that ourr product will be use by our clients. This view makes my role and action very imprtant and I feel that in that way I add value to the end product that will be the best price and value for our clients.
