Working at AFrican Sales Company was an amazing journey

I’ve beeen working in retail for the last 10years and through all of that I’ve learned a lot when it comes to all aspects of building a successful business, I’ve also built relationships to create customer loyalty, I have good relationship with my co-workers we end becoming family job, and I am so lucky to have such an amazing manager and co-workers. I understand that not everyone is as privileged when it comes to obtaining a job in retail. I’ve learned all aspects of the business and what’s important to run a successful business. I enjoy helping, giving quality and exceptional customer service not to just make a sale but to build long lasting relationships with customers. The most challenge was not having a challenge because, when I have a challenge I give it my 100% to do better and along the way I always learn new things. For example during Covid19 we had to adapt to a new norm of living so that we can be safe, keep our customers safe but still provide exceptional customer service.

Excellent learning curve

Excellent learning curve, great opportunity for growth, expertise in customer service , analytical and team work skills. I have been recognised for flexibility, adaptability and high degree of expertise in Administrative work.

I am honesty;trustable;dependable

I worked for African sales company from 22nd March 2008 until 3rd March 2017 as warehouse supervisor. Ihave resigned due to further my studies in occupational health and safety at nosa (SAMTRAC )

Pros: I started working as warehouse assistant and I have been promoted to production supervisor.I have been promoted again to warehouse supervisor
Cons: motivating the staff to achieve goals set by the senior management team.

I've learned to be independent and to make sure that I meet my requirements of the compony

We have to meet our daily targets to meet monthly targets every month..sometimes we work under pressure when the store is busy because we want to meet our targets to get commition of R600 or more that depends on how high our target is, we work extra hours sum times to push for sale,I have a great relationship with my colleagues cos I love people and I enjoy meeting new people everyday...what challenging about my job is that sometimes we don't get enough stock on our top sellers products and we have to just sell what we have, sum times we loose loyal customers because of stock issues..but either than that I have learned a lot from the company thats why iv been with them for so many years.

Pros: From being a casual got a permanent position
Cons: Hour's are ok
