Excellent Technical Experience

I have completed electrical trade test and has been in the Technical Facilities and Maintenance Management of Properties field for some 23 years, starting off managing the Forever Resorts set of properties as maintenance manager and then since January 2010 I have worked between JHI Properties and Broll Property Group on mostly their Commercial, Retail and Industrial buildings and properties for the likes of Arrowhead, Delta and Vukile and other Listed Property Funds (and Private Portfolios). I am presently at SAA as Technical / Facilities Manager for AZDA – AFMS GROUP (PTY) LTD Facilities Management. I have a high level of Technical Experience in managing full Technical and Maintenance teams.

Pros: Want to further my success and share my experience and knowledge.
Cons: Not meeting deadlines and staff not performance to the required standard and excellence

Good Career growth in term of working in the Facility Management sector

Typical work day are very hectic. Deadlines and processing periods are very tight, I have one other Payroll Officer that assist with Payroll processing and the rest of the Critical duties rest on my shoulders. Relationship with co-workers are good and working as a Team makes life a little easier. I enjoy payroll and employee benefits and brings me joy providing a excellent service to those in needs, iro of Salaries and Employee benefits. Staff Inductions are a key area in my Job function and loves the staff engagements. Being new to Section197 tranfers and Gap Analysis role , I had to adjust quickly and can advise on this process accordingly as well. The Company have a great culture and easy going and there's some excellent staff and Managers.

Pros: Learning about the Facility Management Business
Cons: Very Long working Hours, Regular weekends in office for payroll processing. Unable to take Annual Leave for extended period as there's no one to stand in and workload are more upon return from shorten Leave .
