I consider myself an interactive leader. I make sure that make time to walk the floor daily and make personal contact with my management team and their teams. I care about people's well being and I enjoy my individual engagement with my staff and colleagues in order to build positive relationships. I am objective when I give feedback and ensure that people take responsibility for their actions by helping them to operate in their areas of strengths and identify their weaknesses so that they can have a developmental plan. i am a perfectionist and that is seen as a challenge by my team because I always want their task and output to be 100% and nothing less. I like having to find solutions to challenging situations and then implementing those solutions into daily operational processes. I enjoy the adrenalin that comes with the volatility of claims departments and work force management.

In my position as Technical Underwriter my work days varied, sometimes I use to work out of office for approximately 3 months. Sometimes work from home, other days I was expected to work after hours. Above working conditions differed from position to position There are normal working hours as well. Relationship building was crucial since l dealt with different departments, therefore it was important to maintain good working relationship with various departments. Time management was crucial especially when it comes to projects and reporting. I enjoyed working and meeting different stakeholders

Pros: There are quite a number of opportunities with regard to promotion depending on employee attitude.
Cons: Long working hours was not an issue to many. Employees even worked weekends.

An amazing company to work for

Eager to learn, enthusiastic, fast learner, adjust easily

I'm very likeable at work. On a daily I make calls to clients and underwriter policies. Attend training, meetings and team huddles weekly. I enjoy achieving set targets and given the freedom to work and my preferred pace only if I meet targets.

Excellent learning curve

There are opportunities for growth, however they are not available to everyone equally. Promotionis dependent on association, not on hard work. There are senior executives who bully employees and it has become the culture in the business

Always willing to learn

I have been working in the insurance industry since 2007, I am a hard worker always willing to go the extra mile , I am a team player and always to assist. I am a very friendly person and I have learnt that working as a team we achieve great results. I enjoy seeing a happy customer and giving good service. Challenges are there to make us grown and learn. My day is always busy trying to help clients and giving good service , I work very well with my team mates we always assist each other to achieving our team goals. I have learnt that hard work and dedication brings great results.

Work life

My typical work day is 9 hours sometimes more depending on the projects/ audits underway. I enjoy working with people, sharing knowledge especially during the audits. I have a good relationship with all employees subordinates, peers and executives. I have learnt that one person can never know everything, it is also crucial to leverage on each other's strengths to ensure that all deliverables are meet. What I enjoy the most is having an opportunity to interact with other departments namely IT, MI, Underwritting, Claims and Acturies

Decision making

my work place is a challenging reason being that you have to make decisions as to order what the client is claiming for is valid claim or not ,and before confirmation of cover can be disclose to the client you have to do your research and where management is involved ,you have to present your claim and also give supporting evidence is to why you approving the claim .i enjoyed work as a team with my co-workers
