Excelent learning curve in solar power generation using CSP technology

I was very interested in the above position as I believe I posed all the necessary attributes and have the experience that was required to ensure a successful team that will add value to the Company.my current position as the electrical and instrument control supervisor for Abengoa at their Kaxu plant and then added their Xina to my responsibility, both being 100mw concentrated solar power generating power plants. I am also the GMR 2.7 appointee and hold ORHVS appointment to isolate and switch. the exposure to new technology was invigorating and bought its own set of challenges that i was happy to take on and lead the down side was the financial issues and constant staff rotations that left many departments leaderless and adding to the frustrations to prevent the job from been completed. the build of the plant was also way below expectation and i hope the new plant has overcome these short comings

Pros: new technology
Cons: unstable market prospects due to financial issues

Excellent learning curve

Good company to work for but it's a pity they don't pay us overtime money. Our rotation could also be longer as the Spanish get 2 weeks off every 6 weeks, but we only get 1 week off

Pros: Learning new ideas within the renewable industry
Cons: Long working hours, remote location
